Campus LISTSERV List Information
The campus operates several email LISTSERV lists in order to get out timely information to the campus community.
Learn about who is on them and why.
You must be a member of a given list in order to send to it. You may request a change to any of these lists by contacting Brian Hart in the IT Department.
Membership: All employees, including staff and faculty. It does not include students.
Purpose: Information and discussion relevant to all campus employees.
Membership: All faculty, including adjunct faculty. (This list is a subset of the DUBOIS-L.) In addition, those staff members who need to send to the DUBFAC-L are on this list.
Purpose: Information and discussion relevant to faculty only.
Usage: Remember, if you send your message to the DUBOIS-L, you do not need to send it to the DUBFAC-L as well.
Membership: Only adjunct faculty. (This list is a subset of the DUBFAC-L.) In addition, those staff members who need to send to the DS-ADJUNCTS are on this list.
Purpose: Information and discussion relevant to adjunct faculty only.
Usage: Remember, if you send your message to the DUBOIS-L or the DUBFAC-L, you do not need to send it to the DS-ADJUNCTS as well.
Membership: All staff, no faculty, no directors. (This list is a subset of the DUBOIS-L.)
Purpose: Staff Caucus. Information and discussion relevant to staff only.
Usage: Remember, if you send your message to the DUBOIS-L, you do not need to send it to the DUBSTAFF-L as well.
Membership: All students. In addition, those staff and faculty members who request to be added to the DUBSTU-L are on this list.
Purpose: Information and discussion relevant to students.
Note: The student listserv is not an avenue to sell or trade goods and services; please find alternative means to do so. To exchange your books with one another, students may go to this link http://www.personal.psu.edu/mag374/blogs/book_exchange/ to post any books you need or have to sell with other students.
Usage: Beginning in August, 2010, due to a change requested by SGA, only staff and faculty will be able to send messages to this list (this includes anyone who is on the DUBOIS-L). This should cut back on our students' daily volume of email. Also, approvals are no longer required. In addition, the DUBSTU-L-NOW no longer exists, since DUBSTU-L messages now go out immediately. Please make sure you are not trying to send to the DUBSTU-L-NOW, as it may be in your history or old address books.
Note to Clubs: Clubs will still be able to send announcements through the student listserv by sending their announcements to Marly Doty. The announcements will be due by 5pm on Friday each week. She will then send out an email every Monday morning with event information and club announcements. Her email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Lost and Found: Please report items lost or found to the Reception Desk in Hiller.
