Lions Hold Off Late Rally, Down jamestown CC 79-70
The #3 ranked USCAA team in the nation, Penn State DuBois, was able to hold off a late rally by visiting Jamestown CC to win 79-70 in the teams last game before Thanksgiving break. Chris Dickison and Marcus Genevro again provided "The Thunder and The Lightning" to lead the Lions with 23 and 22 points respectively. Jr sharpshooter Josh Salter chipped in 15 points in the winning cause.
Penn State DuBois now sits at 4-1 on the young season and will travel to NCAA Division II Mansfield University on Monday for a 7:00 pm tip-off.
Craker's Double-Double Leads Lady Lions To Victory
Freshman Amanda Craker continued her dominance during the early part of the season with her third double-double in a 69-57 victory over Butler County Community College on Monday night. Craker poured in 20 points and hauled in 10 rebounds to lead the Lady Lions who evened their record at 2-2. Tessa Vargas had 15 points while Lauren Donovan scored 10.
The ladies return to action on Tuesday 12/1 when they travel to CCAC-Boyce for a five PM tip-off.
Penn State DuBois Men Finish 3rd at Juniata Tournament
The Penn State DuBois Men's Basketball team split games at the Juniata Tournament this weekend to up their record to 3-1. On Friday night, PSU DuBois lost to Grove City College by a score of 73-63.
The Nittany Lions bounced back with a 90-79 win against NCAA Division III, Hilbert College, on Saturday afternoon. Penn State DuBois was lead by Chris Dickison's 38 points and 11 rebounds, Marcus Genevro added 26 points and 7 rebounds, and Josh Salter pitched in with 13 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Penn State DuBois returns home on Tuesday, November 24th to face Jamestown Community College. The game tips-off at 7:00pm.
