The Penn State DuBois Office of Business Services would like all campus visitors, students, faculty, and staff members to be aware of construction projects taking place across campus. Construction areas should be avoided for safety reasons until projects are completed.  Progress is weather dependent, but all work is expected to be completed before the beginning of the Fall semester.

Some specific areas to note include:

·         The roof of the Smeal Building is currently being replaced.  The entrance facing College Place and Symmco House, as well as the immediate area, will be closed until the project is completed.  Access to the building will be possible from the entrance off of Schoch Plaza.

·         All blacktop from the Swift Building to Route 255 is being replaced with cement.

·         A new sidewalk will be placed in front of Swift facing 255 with ADA ramp leading to the door in the hallway.

·         A new sidewalk will be placed in front of Smeal where there is currently blacktop.

·         A new sidewalk will be placed through the grass beside Smeal where many students already take a shortcut through the grass.

·         A new sidewalk will be placed from the stone pillars to the parking lot along College place.

·         A new sidewalk will be placed from the Hiller back steps all the way to parking lot adjacent to Hiller on Second Avenue.

·         Brick inlays in Hiller plaza will be replaced with cement.

·         Several sections of sidewalk beside Hiller will be replaced.

·         Caulking of walkways will occur throughout campus.
