'Think Pink Fridays' for Breast Cancer Awareness
Penn State DuBois "thinks pink" this month. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and students, faculty, and staff members are showing their support by wearing pink each Friday.
Pink ribbons are also available to everyone in building lobbies and the Student Union, ready to pin on to your shirt or jacket. Materials for making the ribbons have been donated by faculty member June Strohm. Student Government Association President Holly Kiesling led efforts to make the ribbons.
According to Pink Ribbon, a leading charity in the fight against breast cancer, the pink ribbon represents hope for the future, and the charitable goodness of people and businesses that publicly support the breast cancer movement.
