Internationally Acclaimed Show Comes to Penn State DuBois
DuBois – Taikoza, a Japanese music and dance group, will perform at Penn State DuBois in March. The community is invited to attend, free of charge.
Taikoza’s shows are proven to be immensely popular with audiences of all ages, providing enjoyment through a unique cultural experience of Japan. Their performances introduce the audience to various traditional Japanese musical instruments and explain some of the history of Japanese festivals. The group is sponsored by East Winds, Inc., an organization dedicated to bringing Asian arts to communities and schools around the globe.
Taikoza has performed world-wide since 1995, in such venues as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Hall, Boston Symphony Hall and Suntory Hall in Tokyo.
The show is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hiller Auditorium at Penn State DuBois.
This performance is part of the Penn State DuBois Cultural Events series. Cultural events on campus are free and open to the public.
