Penn State DuBois Cultural Events Series Continues with “Birds of Prey”

Master Falconer, Earl Shriver of Baden, Pa will present an educational program on birds of prey on October 16 at 7:00 pm in the Hiller Auditorium at Penn State DuBois.   

Shriver’s presentation will focus on the history of raptors, and their natural behavior.  He’ll also discuss the ways humans have domesticated these birds, and the important roles they have played in various culture.  Shriver says there are also many misunderstood facts about these creatures, which he will explain.  Shriver will use live birds throughout the program including a hawk, an eagle, and a falcon.  

This and all Penn State DuBois Cultural Events are free and open to the public.  Tickets are not required for this event.
