Presenters focus on college savings options
DuBois – Two free public seminars offered jointly by Penn State DuBois and Swift-Kennedy Investment Group will provide savings strategies for college tuition and for securing financial aid.
The first seminar will be held Monday, March 20, at Penn State DuBois' Hiller Auditorium, and a repeat of this presentation will be held Monday, April 3, at the DuBois Area Middle School. Both sessions begin at 6 p.m.
According to Matt Nerone, financial adviser at Swift-Kennedy, various investment programs, including 529 college savings plans and life insurance strategies are options for all parents looking to save for a child planning to attend college, regardless of family income. Andy Sayers, vice president of Swift-Kennedy, will co-present along with Nerone.
Representatives from Penn State DuBois will also address financial aid opportunities and will discuss the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) program.
