PSU DuBois Veterans’ Club will host ‘fireside’ chat

DuBois – The Penn State DuBois Veterans’ Club is hosting an informal discussion with World War II veterans, who will share their experiences with students, staff, faculty, and the general public. Titled, “The Greatest Generation Not Forgotten,” this premiere event will be held Feb. 22, at the Penn State DuBois campus in the DEF Building.

These courageous veterans will have an open forum to talk about any part of their experiences during their involvement in World War II, from the years leading up to the conflict to present day, according to Veterans’ Club president Michael White.

Invited local veterans include: Bill "Lefty" Tangren, Army National Guard; Dave Duncan, Army National Guard; Bill Way, U.S. Navy; and James Fuller, U.S. Marines.

Penn State DuBois invites all to attend this friendly “fireside” chat, which will be held in room 209 of the DEF Building. Located on the second floor, the suite is accessible by elevator, and members of the Veterans’ Club will be prepared to accept guests starting at 11:30 a.m. The event will begin at 11:45 a.m. and conclude at 1:15 p.m. Coffee, water, pop, and snacks will be available to guests.

Seating is limited to 50 people. For more information or to reserve a seat, call (814)375-4715 or email msw196@psu.edu no later than Feb. 17.
