Penn State DuBois offering new courses beginning in January in St. Marys

St. Marys - Penn State DuBois will be offering several new credit courses during the spring semester at the Community Education Council in St. Marys.  Classes begin the week of Jan. 9. 

"January is a good time for anyone interested in furthering their education to take a course." said John Piccolo, director of continuing education for Penn State DuBois. "We are very fortunate to be able to offer our courses at the Community Education Council of Elk and Cameron Counties facility located in St. Marys."

For convenience, students interested in developing their business computer skills can enroll in the web-based course, Computer Applications in Business. The course will be delivered online and will be taught by Penn State DuBois faculty member Audrey Bollinger.

This spring’s schedule features two other business courses never before offered in St. Marys: Introductory Financial Accounting and Advanced Business Writing. These courses are primarily offered for students enrolled in a business degree. There are also other courses offered for individuals who would like to take their first college course or have already completed some coursework and want to re-enroll to complete a degree or certificate. Topics offered include literature, business law, english composition, biological science, communications, economics, computer-aided drafting, labor and industrial studies, math, mechanical engineering technology, human development, music, management, political science, psychology and statistics.
