Penn State DuBois offering new courses this summer in St. Marys

ST. MARYS­-Penn State DuBois will be offering several new credit courses this summer at the Community Education Council in St. Marys.

        "Summer is a good time for anyone interested in furthering their education to sign up for a class and sample a credit course. These classes also provide local students with an excellent opportunity to earn additional credits while on summer break," said John Piccolo, director of continuing education for Penn State DuBois. "We are very fortunate to be able to offer our courses at the Community Education Council of Elk and Cameron Counties facility located in St. Marys."

        For convenience, there are two 6-week sessions of evening courses scheduled.  This summer’s schedule features two business courses never offered before in St. Marys. They are Individual and Interpersonal Effectiveness for the Business Professional and Project Management and Planning for Business.  These courses are primarily offered for students enrolled in the bachelor’s degree in business that is offered in St. Marys. 

        For area educators, EDUC 450 Current Topics: Classroom Management is scheduled on July 21, 22, 23 and 28, 29, 30 from 8:30a.m. -3:30 p.m.  This 3 credit graduate level course can be used for ACT 48 (90 hours) or can be applied as an elective in the Master of Education degree in Teaching and Curriculum offered in DuBois.
