CN ED 404 Group Procedures in Guidance and Counseling (3 credits) The nature and functioning of groups in educational and agency settings.  Provides prospective counselors with experience in the group process.

EDPSY 400 Introduction to Statistics in Educational Research (3 credits) The foundations of statistical techniques used in educational research; distributions, central tendency, variability, correlation, regression, probability, sampling, hypothesis testing.

Blended Learning Instructional Series

Successful completion of EDTEC 440 and EDTEC 448 is required to complete the series, but educators may also enroll in individual courses.

EDTEC 440 Introduction to Computers for Educators (3 credits) Technology integration in educational settings.  Learn to use 10 of the best (mostly free) web 2.0 tools, e.g., Slideshare, Voicethread, Skype, for education.

EDTEC 448 Using the Internet in the Classroom (3 credits) This course introduces students to methods and models of using the Internet effectively in their classroom.  Using the 10 tools from EDTEC 440, learn to apply these tools in terms of Bloom's Taxonomy and ISTE standards for teaching with technology to create and evaluate lesson plans for the next school year.

Graduate-Level Nondegree Application Students registering for graduate level credit courses for the first time at Penn State must complete a Graduate Nondegree Application so that course grades will appear on a graduate transcript.  A completed application form should be returned with your registration.
