Welcome Adult Learners!
The Penn State DuBois Office for Adult Student and Veteran Services was established in 2011 and is located in 206B in the DEF Building, providing a range of services for adults considering first-time college enrollment or return to the college classroom after "stopping out" for a period of time.
The OASV Resource Center is located in the DEF Building, Room 208, open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Adult students and veterans can meet, congregate, seek academic support services, and do homework. Computers, printers, lounge chairs, desks and a meeting area are available for your use.

About returning to the classroom ... Adult students often enter the college environment anxious and uncertain about their ability to succeed and compete successfully with more traditional students. Current research tells us that adult students are typically more successful than younger students because of their maturity and the experience that they bring to the classroom. Adults are likely to exhibit high levels of motivation, more specific occupational goals, and an uncompromising desire to get the most education possible for the money. Penn State provides a variety of services and activities to help adult students be successful in their college experience.
