On Nov. 16, 2011 the Alumni Society hosted the Winery at Wilcox's Wine-ee Women event. Proceeds from the event benefitted the DRMC Hahne Cancer Center for breast cancer services. Breast cancer survivor, Maureen Horan, shared her story. The fifty women in attendance were moved by her story; at times in tears and doubled over in laughter. She received a standing ovation and many women shared their own stories with her.
Maureen is a faculty member and the co-director of academic affairs at Penn State DuBois. She is also the proud mother of three Penn Staters.
