To provide a Penn State experience to local high school students. This program will provide a “scholarship award” to high school students, who the high school guidance counselor and campus admissions office evaluate as having the capability to successfully complete college-level classwork, to enroll in courses at a participating campus location beginning with the spring semester of their junior year in high school. Courses will be open to students on a space-available basis.

How the "Scholarship Award" works:

Students who are accepted into this program will receive a “scholarship award” in the amount of one-half of the per credit cost for one (1) course during the spring semester of their junior year. High school seniors are able to register for up to eight Penn State credits each semester during their senior year of high school including the summer between their junior and senior years of high school.  All credits will be at a 50% tuition reduction.  Students may only continue taking classes as a part of this program if they successfully complete each course with a grade of a 'C' or better in each class.  The final semester a student is able to take courses with a 50% tuition reduction is the spring semester of their senior year of high school.
