This workshop will focus on the simple steps faculty can incorporate to collect assessment data for their courses. This session will help you to gather data to provide general course feedback to be used for your own teaching purposes, general education and program assessment data collection that can be used during accreditation processes.

Blended Course in College Teaching
Begins in February through Spring 2014 | Online using ANGEL and F2F at DuBois in Smeal 182 (Conference Room)

The Blended Course in College Teaching is offered this spring 2014. This is an eight-week class, with three meetings face-to-face sessions here at DuBois, and the other five weeks held online (asynchronous). Exploring the use of Mobile Devices for Instructional Purposes

During this workshop we will be exploring the use of the iPad and other mobile devices in the classroom.  We will take a look at the basic use of the iPad for instructional purposes including Apps for students, exploring Doceri, and using an using mobile devices with ANGEL.  Faculty are encouraged to share their use of mobile devices within the classroom.

Assessment 2: Summarizing Data
12:15-1:15pm Common Hour | 204 Swift

This session will take faculty to the next level and provide ways to summarize data for use to provide information to departments, Academic Affairs for Middle States, and for program assessments that take place during reaccreditations visits.

It will also help faculty to assess their own teaching and assessment methods for continuous quality improvement of new innovations.

How to use Box at Penn State

This workshop will cover the basics of using Box at Penn State for personal file storage as well as a space for collaborating, sharing and storage files that need to be accessed by a group. 

Box at Penn State offers secure, scalable, and user-friendly content sharing. Box allows content to be stored online, so it can be accessed, managed, and shared from anywhere. Access Box on mobile devices or seamlessly sync files to your laptop or desktop computer.
