Earth Science students now have the opportunity to engage in an intercollege minor in Sustainability Leadership. Earth Science Adjunct Peggy Johnston, chairwoman of the Meteorology Hall of Fame Committee at the Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center in Punxsutawney, PA, secured Mr. Jim Cantore, “Stormchaser”  of The Weather Channel for nomination as the 2013 Meteorology Hall of Fame inductee on February 2, 2013, Groundhog Day.  She and her husband hosted him during his 3-day stay in Punxsutawney over Groundhog Day.
